8,611m, K2 is the second highest
peak on Earth. Locally known by the name of "Chogo
Ri", K2 is located on the Pakistan - China border in
the mighty Karakoram range.
The 12th highest peak on the planet, located
at the end of the Baltoro Glacier, Broad Peak
is proving a good first time venue for aspiring 8000m alpinists. |

Gasherbrum
I in local language means "Shining Wall",
also known as Hidden Peak (8068 meters/26,470ft) is the
11th highest mountain of the world. In
1958 an American Expedition led by Nich Clinch made the
first ascent.
Gasherbrum
II is the thirteenth highest peak in
the world. It is generally considered one of
the easiest 8000 meter peaks, though like any mountain
of its stature, an ascent is not to be taken lightly.
