K2 & BROAD PEAK
At 8,611m, K2 is the second highest
peak on Earth. Locally known by the name of "Chogo
Ri", which means "The Great Mountain",
K2 is located on the Pakistan - China border in the
mighty Karakoram range.
The 12th highest peak on the planet, located at the
end of the Baltoro Glacier, Broad Peak
is proving a good first time venue for aspiring 8000m
alpinists, with reasonable summit rates if the weather
is favorable.
